Analysing and increasing your attractiveness as employer

In recent years, the national and international strife for the best, most qualified and motivated employees has significantly gained in importance. At this stage, it is certain that the competition will increasingly be decided on the recruitment market. This will be to the advantage of those companies that succeed in creating particularly attractive workplaces and are seen as attractive employers on the recruitment market as well as in public.

In cooperation with our renowned partners from the international Great Place to Work® Institute, the business magazines "Capital" and "Die Presse", and INQA, the New Quality of Work Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, psychonomics annually identifies and awards "Germany's and Austria's Best Workplaces". The best participants are simultaneously nominated for the contest "Europe's Best Workplaces". Your benefits: national as well as international distinction and reputation.

It is the survey's basic philosophy to recognize and honour the best employers in Germany, Austria and, moreover, in Europe, and support those on their way to become a great employer in optimising their workplaces. The evaluation of the employer by experts as well as employees is a special feature of our approach. Its established methodology focuses explicitly on the idea of benchmarking. The modular and structured reporting ultimately provides a concise, practice- and target group-oriented communication of the survey results.

Depending on the objectives and the focus, the Great Place to Work® tools can be expanded and deepened, on the basis of the benchmarking-results, with psychonomics' established tools for organisational research and consulting. Here, employee surveys, 360° feedback, analysis of corporate culture and recruiting should particularly be emphasised.

PROCEDURE

In the run-up to the annual survey of identifying Germany's and Austria's best employers, you receive all relevant material for your information and the nomination process.
After you have registered for participation, we coordinate the scheduling and the logistic controlling of the employee survey with you; depending on the size of your company, we conduct a full or a sample survey.
At the same time, you submit the questionnaires concerning your HR culture. You can also add complementary material (website, articles in employee newsletter, video material, booklets, etc.) for a comprehensive expert analysis and evaluation of your corporate culture.
Our evaluation of the employee survey and material on the corporate culture is guided by established concepts and methods and oriented at the benchmarking-approach.
We assess the attractiveness of your workplace in respect of the dimensions of the Great Place to Work® model©: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
Before the best workplaces are officially announced, you get a personal feedback on your performance in the competition.
A special edition of "Capital", the highest-run German business magazine, publishes and introduces the 50 best workplaces in Germany; all other participants stay anonymous. The 25 best workplaces in Austria are announced by the newspaper "Die Presse".
Germany's 50 best workplaces, as well as Austria's 25 best workplaces, are honoured in a special ceremony.
Additionally, winners in their size ranges and in special categories as "lifelong learning", "gender mainstreaming" and "diversity" are determined.
